I finally finished my first baby craft! It's a knock off of Pottery Barns Best Pal dog painting from PBK. I couldn't bring myself to pay $250 for it, so I pulled out my paints and went to town!
I didn't add the words from the backround- do you think I should, or should I leave it as is? (Link to PB's original under this pic)

23 Weeks
How your baby's growing:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

22 Weeks
How your baby's growing:
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Chaos, Confusion, Destruction. My job here is done. Kinda...
This weekend we started working on the nursery. Still piled with junk for the upcoming yard sale, but it's coming along. Here's the before pics-
And here is a progress pic.
And another.
The wood floors underneath are in fairly good shape, but in need of some work. Hopefully this coming weekend I'll be able to get the junk out of there and get some furniture moved out. But only after I finish my favorite job, pulling carpet staples.

21 Weeks
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know him better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

FINALLY settled on a nursery
Again, I'm drawing my inspiration from OhDeeDoh.com. Since finding out we had a little dude on the way, I thought maybe something a little more boyish would be appropriate. I think this one grabbed my attention because I like the usage of color for the theme, rather than matchy-matchy furniture and bedding sets. And Dad is happy to see some 'manly' things incorporated;)

20 Weeks
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 10 lovely pounds.
Maternity clothes? Can still get by with some regular shirts.
Stretch marks? Two. And they're not cute.
Sleep: I guess you can call it that.
Best moment this week: Hearing from the Dr. that little Bug is all good- organs and all. A close second was seeing 10 little fingers and 10 little toes:)
Movement: Yes, as we speak he is trying to push his foot out of my belly button.
Food cravings: Maybe I've finally had my fill of watermelon, but I'll never get tired of peppercinis.
Labor Signs: Not yet.
Belly Button in or out? Still in, unless Bug is successful in his endevor.
What I miss: Beer! Even a Natural Light would be really good right now.
What I am looking forward to: Yard Sale'in tomorrow.
Weekly Wisdom: If your pants are so tight that you have trouble getting change out of your pockets for the snack machine, that may be your sign.
Milestones: Monday we found out we are going to be welcoming a wonderful little baby boy!

It's a...
Brian and I are happy to announce we are having a little boy! We went today for the ultrasound and got to see him on screen for about 30 minutes. The tech gave us lots of pictures, which I will be posting soon. While we were there, we got to see him playing with his feet and cover his face and even got to see him yawning. And when he was done with his photo op, he promptly rolled over and kept his back to us:) We might be a little biased, but we think he's just perfect!

The BIG Ultrasound
We had our regular appointment yesterday and everything is going well. Heard the heartbeat and even got to hear the baby kicking the transducer a time or two!
So it looks like Tuesday is going to be the big day for us- we have an appointment with the Ultrasound Tech for 9:00. Hopefully, Bug will cooperate and show us the goods so we can start shopping:)
